BRADSTONE ROOFING SUPPORTS GOLD WINNING DISPLAY
Bradstone’s roofing has taken pride of place on the gold award winning display at this years’ Chelsea Flower Show.
Chelsea featured the UK Horticulture’s display, ‘From Farm to Fork’, jointly sponsored by the National Farmer’s Union (NFU) and English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) to highlight the unison of livestock and horticulture.
Bradstone was approached by UK Horticulture, one of the leading promoters of product and produce grown and manufactured in the UK, just three weeks before the show to supply product for the traditional farmhouse featured in the display.
Bradstone’s Conservation roofing slates immediately fitted the criteria for natural looking materials that are in keeping with the traditional rural countryside theme of the display, as well as being readily available in the turn around time needed for its completion. As one of the most authentic looking products of its kind on the market, Bradstone’s Conservation roofing slates are readily available in a number of easy to lay sizes and widths to give the true natural look of a diminishing course roof.
UK’s Horticulture’s award winning designer, Penny Riley, comments: “We approached Bradstone, as we have always been thrilled with the level of support from them and felt that the structural products offered the closest alternative to natural stone. The roofing slates, which offer an authentic weathered look, perfectly matched the design of the display.”
Mark Barter, Commercial Manager for structural products added: “We are delighted to have assisted Penny with her design and jumped at the chance to get involved as Chelsea is such a prestigious event.
“Bradstone is proud to have played a part in one of the biggest highlights of this year’s show, which complements the award won by Bradstone Garden’s design, ‘The Bradstone Spring Garden.’”
